The Teachings
Warsongs of battledrums rattle the blood soaked field,
Souls of warriors uplift the fading sun,
Destiny awaits purposeful divine intervention,
Alas, there is none.
Gladiators strewn and tucked together,
Walking down the plank of redemption,
Battling a fight not of their own,
Fate watches with indecisiveness.
Hymns of ancient folklore break the grim horizon,
Tribes chant around their dying bonfire,
Strength touches the weak with honour,
The Sword of Faith lies in the mirror.
Knights of the realm embark on their final quest,
Not of the Holy Grail, nor was it by the king's orders,
Sailing through nature's plains on their loving friends,
They ride together in search of The Secret.
Priests flock in their merry band wagons,
Praising and praying with supposed holiness,
Their journey is doubtful and judged by many,
Hope guides them under Her wings of forgiveness.
The monk rests his final breath under the cursed tree,
Meditating and pursuing the very ashes of totality,
Thoughts hover through the fabric of reality,
Life has taught him, but learned-he is still trying.
